What You Will Do
- Inspect surface preparation and blast cleaning profiles on site daily.
- Monitor environmental conditions like humidity and substrate temperatures during job runs.
- Measure wet and dry film thickness using standard digital testing equipment.
- Perform adhesion tests and holiday detection tests on protected surfaces.
- Write simple quality reports and keep tracking records up to date.
- Guide application crews on correct application steps and quality standards.
- Check that all inspection tools are calibrated and working correctly.
- Issue final quality sign-offs before equipment goes back to the client.
What You Need to Apply- Valid NACE Level 2 or AMPP Level 2 Coating Inspector certification.
- Good practical experience with industrial coatings and blast cleaning methods.
- Comfort using standard coating inspection tools like DFT gauges and psychrometers.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, solution-focused attitude.
- Ability to lead a workshop team with clear, helpful guidance.
