Salary: R4,800 per month

Working Hours: 08:00 – 17:00 (One short week, one long week, including weekends)

RecruitSmith is recruiting a Maintenance & Gardener for a well-established retirement village in Somerset West.

If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in maintaining beautiful gardens, and have basic maintenance skills, we'd love to hear from you.

• Maintain gardens, lawns, flower beds, trees, hedges, and walkways

• Water plants, remove weeds, and ensure gardens remain neat and attractive

• General landscaping and garden maintenance

• Keep all outdoor areas clean and free of litter

• Perform general maintenance including:

• Painting

• Minor repairs

• Woodwork maintenance

• Ceiling repairs

• General upkeep of buildings and facilities

• Maintain swimming pools, ponds, drains, gutters, fireplaces, and outdoor furniture

• Complete maintenance job cards and report repairs promptly

• Follow all health, safety, and infection control procedures

• Grade 10 or equivalent

• Previous gardening or general maintenance experience

• Able to read, write, and communicate in English and Afrikaans

• Clean criminal record

• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour

• Reliable and trustworthy

• Friendly and respectful
