This reserve is in the Eastern Cape and is home to the Big Five across hectares of restored wilderness. This role suits a spa or wellness professional who can operate at a strategic and hands-on level across a multi-lodge safari environment, balancing guest experience with financial and team management.
Core Criteria:
- Diploma or degree in Spa Management, Hospitality Management, Wellness Management, or a related field (Esthetician qualification advantageous)
- Minimum 3 years' management experience in a luxury 4 or 5-star spa or wellness environment
- Proven track record managing wellness operations, budgets, training, and inventory
- Strong financial, sales, marketing, and guest relations experience
- Experience working with wellness POS systems
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills
- Ability to manage performance issues quickly and effectively
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage wellness operations across multiple lodges, ensuring an exceptional guest experience
- Design and deliver wellness experiences that complement the safari journey
- Manage departmental budgets, financial performance, and monthly reporting
- Develop the annual wellness budget and commercial plan with the General Manager
- Partner with Sales & Marketing to promote wellness offerings and identify new business
- Oversee procurement, stock control, and cost management
- Build guest relationships and resolve concerns professionally
- Conduct regular operational inspections across all lodges
- Coach, mentor, and develop the wellness team through training and performance management
- Monitor performance through key operational and financial metrics
- Collaborate closely with Front of House, Housekeeping, Guiding, and Maintenance for seamless guest experience
- Develop an annual training plan with the wellness team leader
Package:
- Salary: R27,500 per month, negotiable depending on experience
- Live-in position
- 21 days on / 7 days off work cycle
