Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure that inspections and repairs are conducted
- To install new mechanical related equipment and upgrades
- Identify faults during preventative maintenance checks and ensure certificates of compliance are issued
- Produce yearly work schedules and ensure budget is adhered to
- Ensure compliance with OSHACT and PPE regulations
- Implement safety precautions and corrective actions so that unsafe conditions are eliminated
- Demonstrate strong inspirational leadership, administrative and organizational abilities in managing the team of technical staff
- Work as part of a team or individually to deliver high quality standards consistently and accurately.
Mandatory Experience & Skills- Essential pre-requisites:
- Grade 12 with a Mechanical T4/N6 certificate and mechanical trade test qualification;
- Experience on OHS act, General machinery regulations
- Good inter-personal skills
- Ability to communicate in English with management, staff and customers
- An apprenticeship recognized by the Department of Labour
- Minimum three years’ mechanical experience
