Job & Company Description:
As a Mining Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of electrical systems for mining and mineral processing facilities. Working within a multidisciplinary project team, you will contribute to feasibility studies, detailed engineering design, project execution, commissioning, and client engagement activities. This role offers exposure to major mining projects and provides an excellent platform for professional growth within a highly respected engineering environment.
Education:
BEng / BSc / BTech in Electrical Engineering
ECSA registration or candidacy advantageous
Pr Eng registration advantageous
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Minimum 3-10 years' experience in electrical engineering within mining, minerals processing, heavy industrial, or EPCM environments
Experience with MV and LV reticulation systems
Knowledge of substations, switchgear, transformers, and protection systems
Experience in electrical equipment selection and specification
Exposure to mining infrastructure, process plants, conveyor systems, or materials handling facilities
Experience with power system studies and electrical calculations
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Exposure to commissioning and site support activities
Strong understanding of applicable industry standards and regulations
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required
