Inspect vehicles after servicing or repairs to ensure all work has been completed to the required standard
Verify that customer concerns have been addressed and resolved
Conduct final quality inspections before vehicles are released to customers
Identify defects, incomplete repairs, or workmanship issues and arrange for corrective action
Ensure all quality control procedures and manufacturer standards are followed
Vehicle Inspection
Perform visual and functional checks on completed vehicles
Road test vehicles where required to confirm repairs have been successfully completed
Check that all vehicle systems operate correctly and safely
Ensure vehicles are clean, free from damage, and ready for customer collection
Workshop Support
Liaise with technicians, workshop controllers, and service advisors regarding quality-related issues
Provide feedback to technicians to improve repair quality and workmanship
Assist with maintaining high workshop productivity while ensuring quality standards are met
Promote continuous improvement within the workshop
Administration
Complete quality control documentation accurately
Record inspection findings and report recurring issues to management
Ensure repair orders are complete before vehicle release
Maintain accurate records in line with dealership procedures
Health & Safety
Ensure all vehicles comply with roadworthiness and safety requirements
Follow company health and safety policies and workshop procedures
Maintain a clean and organised work environment
General Duties
Deliver excellent internal customer service to the workshop and service departments
Support the dealership's commitment to customer satisfaction
Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management
Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric)
Qualified Motor Vehicle Technician (preferred)
Minimum 2-3years previous experience as a Quality Controller, Workshop Controller, Diagnostic Technician, or Senior Technician within a passenger vehicle dealership / automotive environment
Sound knowledge of passenger vehicle servicing, repair procedures and technical knowledge
Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic ability
High attention to detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to identify workmanship issues and recommend corrective action
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high quality standards
Sound understanding of manufacturer quality standards and workshop processes
Computer literate with experience using dealership management systems
Valid driver's licence
Clear criminal record
Motor Industry experience Essential!
